NS Canada | 1/4 way thru calving and I was at an 89% heifer ratio... Started getting some bull calves lately. But then this guy appeared. Well he didn't exactly pop out, it was quite a pull to get him out. 144 lbs, 3 ft tall, and 43 inches from tail head to forehead. Must be some old fleck genes reared their head.. And I hope not many more appear - 3rd yr in a row this cow was bred to that same bull though. He's a little stiff yet, but otherwise getting up and nursing now after a slow start. Day old in the pic.
I'll try and get a 90 lb'er or something after supper to stand next to him to compare.
