We rent a farm that borders two sides of a small town. Most of the farm is surveyed off as farmland in a big chunk but on one edge there are a few small lots surveyed off as part of the farm. Apparently on neighbor was checking property lines for estate planning where abstract says he owns one of the lots we have been farming and land lord has been paying taxes on forever. Does landlord have any claim to this lot since it was assumed by pretty much everyone it’s been part of the farm for years. Can he get taxes refunded if he loses it? Only bout .6 acres so no big deal as far as acreage but will be a pain to farm around.
