Southeast Colorado | Nobody wraps in our arid climate. However..............I'm kind of interested. I'm looking at one of these balers that wraps in the field directly after the bale is made. Usually we have to wait about a week after laying down sorghum sudangrass and this process would speed that up plus possibly give us a better product.
Having never been around wrapping before............I'd assume if we pick the bales up with our normal bale spears.............that puncturing the wrap wouldn't be real smart. Maybe it's no big deal. Usually we run through the field with the semi and pick up 34 bales at a time with the skid loader. I don't think clamping the side of the bale would work real well with stacking the bales side by side on the truck.
What is the best way to accomplish what I'm after? | |
