Subject: RE: LDL cholesterol and Alzheimers and other forms of dementia

Thanks again for another very interesting presentation. His comments on sugar make me wonder if this could be a strong contributing factor to the headaches I have had for so long. (I love brown sugar on my oatmeal.)

I also read a bit on his site. He definitely makes sense. What he says about behavior modification prior to surgery is true about many behavioral problems. Managing obsessive/compulsive tendencies is one example - and, of course, this can be directly connected to obesity. Also, over decades of (successful) trading, I have learned to recognize how my brain works - often to my detriment. I found that I make the same mistakes time after time - and I even have come to the point where i have known I was making the same mistake - as I was making it. Fascinating stuff. I liken it to building software work-arounds to the hard-wiring of our brains. We know that those software work-arounds WILL FAIL, and we also know that the only solution is to simply re-build them when the do.
