Subject: RE: replacing lights

I'm putting this here because it is a new question about light sources.

I had heard that LED lights were bad for a person. Doing a search, it looks like it is questionable, with some studies saying they are not good and industry sources saying the opposite. Is it the flickering, or is it the blue light component? I don't think anyone really knows. I've always heard too that florescent light is not good - so, again, how do we know?

I'm guessing that the old style filament bulbs are the best, since they give off a warm light that does not flicker. The element is heated by the AC current, and the heated element is more constant intensity - just my guess.

Once, again - much like many other things - who knows what to believe??
