From what I read, enlarged hearts are common (around 20%) of people who train a lot like me. Heart is a muscle and it gets stronger with more work just like the rest of my muscles. Cardiologist said he didn't see much if anything on exam or the tests and to keep on running. You always hear about the runners who have heart attacks but it has only happened to one in shape guy I run against (he is back to running fast again). Over that same time I know of dozens of over weight out of shape people who had heart attacks.
