I had a heifer break a front leg several years ago when she weighed about 300 pounds. Skin didn't break, but leg was flopping when she moved. It healed on its own, but was a little crooked. She got to where she didn't even limp and I forgot about it when picking out heifers to retain for cows. Fast forward to now, She just had her 3rd calf.  She does limp a little when she gets heavy with calf, but weans one of the biggest calves each year.
