Been buying either purebred Simmental or SimAngus composite bulls from the same breeder for about 30 years. The last 2 times I bought registered a SimAngus heifer with a young bull calf and then raised the bull to be a herd bull. That one heifer has turned out to be one of my favorite cows and she just had a bull calf yesterday. I usually band them right away but wondering if I should raise this as a bull to sell. Too related to use myself but could maybe find a buyer. Not really looking to get in the bull selling business in a big way but if I could sell him as a yearling for maybe $2000 to a neighbor I would. What do you think of these EPD's? Band or wait and see how he develops? Give me your thoughts. Thanks
