Western Ontario | I was there 30 years ago and ran into this guy at a bar that had a “station”....this was in Queensland a couple hours in from the coast and this guy had driven about 5 hours to this little bar/motel to watch cricket for a couple days. Interesting talking to him thousands of acres, thousands of cattle, had planes. His strategy was if he owed the bank $800k and yearlings were worth $800 bucks that’s how many you sent and always tried to maximize the carrying capacity because eventually a dry stretch would come along ( 2-3 years ) and would need to liquidate a good portion of the herd. Wish we would have had time to go see it. If you need a plane or a helicopter I think you got a station.... | |
