Central Kansas | We bought a 35’ Macdon fd75 that didn’t have gauge wheels. We added them to it and I was getting it set up for wheat harvest. I set the header float after installing the gauge wheels to 2 on the wrench. When I lower the head so the gauge wheels touch I have to put a lot of pressure on the wheels and compress the shocks almost completely to get the bell crank to start moving and start changing the dial on the adapter. The way it is working I would not be able to use the auto header height. Are the gauge wheels supposed to carry more of the weight? | |
