Tempered glass has built in stress between the surface, the middle and the other side, that's what makes it stronger, and crack into a thousand pieces when it does break. Stronger than most people would believe on the surface, and incredibly vulnerable to a tap on the edge. When they come out of the tempering process, they'll shatter one after the other if the process is off, or wait a year or thirty.
Anyone else had spontaneous glass breakage?
