Sw mn | Packer monopoly screwed up the cow calf cycle.
Cow man would be getting $300 more per head if the packers had to pay the fair market value of fats.
Feeders are just middle men working off of margins.
This is why I left the cow/world.
I will take my margin and hit a home run every few years. Next time I hit a home run and feeders are priced out of this world I will take a vacation.
If the cow calf guy gets a $400 home run I will also but it will be across 800 head versus the 80 head of cows I use to have. | |
