Subject: RE: MX285 Trans Fault

Southeastern Tipton County, Indiana

CKHardinFarms - 3/3/2021 19:46 My MX 285 is throwing a trans fault 60, 119. I’ve looked it up and it says check the master solenoid. Can someone tell me where that is located? Or what could be my problem. Tractor will not move once fault codes appear.

Trans 60 is "FNRP lever in illogical state".  Can be caused by holding the lever up and between selector positions for a wee bit too long. Usually nothing to be concerned about.

Trans 119  is 'Master Clutch Solenoid coil shorted or it's wire shorted to ground"

The Master Clutch solenoid is located behind the fuel tank just to the rear of the steps. The solenoid is facing out on and can be serviced just be careful to not drop anything down the between the tank and frame.

After replacing the solenoid there is a calibration that needs performed for proper M/C modulation.
