Subject: Title, abstract, mortgage release

SE MN
In the process of paying off the note on my first farmland purchase and I'm not getting a lot of clear answers on what I should do about the paperwork.

The banker suggests having the mortgage release recorded. Is that the limit of what I should do?

Having the abstract brought up to date is an option, but it doesn't seem important. Is there any value to having an updated abstract in hand? I'm planning to have it done regardless because I'm interested in seeing the documentation.

Is there such a thing as a deed or title anymore? Is there a document that I should request that shows ownership?

My name shows up in the county property tax records, so at least they think I own it, but I'd like to cross all the Ts so that I never have to worry about it.

Location is se Minnesota
