If the trailing discs measure 13.75” and the bearings are good, I leave them on for another season. Just make sure they’re spaced properly.
Different soils probably wear differently, but the leading opener takes most of the abuse. “Here” the leading openers can be totally worn out and the trailings don’t show much wear at all.
