Subject: RE: Mini Bike for Crop Scouting

Before I was farming, so around 2005 I bought a couple of Chinese Honda knockoffs. One was like an XL200, always started and ran great, was fun to ride. The best one though was the Trail 90 knockoff. It had 110cc electric start motor. Was super fun to ride, used to take it out in the desert and my wife and I would ride it 2-up. Never had any problems with it and wish I still had it.

The big downfall with the China bikes is the chassis bolts. They are soft and sometimes loose from the factory. I took every bolt out and coated it with blue Loctite and torqued them properly. Never had one fall out or break. If I was to do it again, I'd just buy new bolts and replace them all as they were pretty soft.

I paid around $900 for the little bike. Both were Lifan brand which is a pretty large manufacturer. That's what I'd buy again.
