Sounds like a pretty easy decision on paper. In reality, getting rid of livestock is never easy. Always an empty feeling seeing that barn or that lot or that pasture sitting empty. How would you utilize the pasture/hay ground? Could some of it be farmed or would it just sit? Might be worth looking into selling cows and just buying small calves in the spring, run them on grass, sell in the fall. Pretty low maintenance, and if you make a buck great, break even, at least you didn't have to mow all summer.
