I grind the corn as well, might wanna consider offering mineral free choice depending on what your feeding... they might not be getting enough. I got serious about doing the same thing you are last year (year 1 of a 3 year plan) and continuing to expand it this year.
If you really want to keep them green and get your ADG higher concentrate on improving your forages. Took a few forage samples thoughout the season last year and it was pretty eye opening. Enough so that I ended up overseeding an existing pasture and changed the mix that'll I'll be seeding in the next week or 2 hopefully. I plan on sampling on a more defined schedule this year and adjusting my supplemental grain mix accordingly.
