I’ll refill it every day then. Yea the finisher won’t work on show pigs. They stay very lean on it. I fed some last year all you can eat finisher mixed with 25% corn and they were OK. Best I had was from a friend who was trying to hit weight and he was feeding show feed plus 6oz milk replacer. So I’m trying adding the milk to corn.
I tried sow feed one time by suggestion and it was too lean too. Next year I’m hoping I can have some fats on corn and run the pigs in their pen. This year fats go on corn about the time these pigs will hang.

The sausage doesn’t matter, but I want the chops to be perfect and have good bacon. I’ll be out of beef in a month and these will be all we have until the end of august.

Going to keep the chops, ribs, bacon, some cube steaks for fajitas, have the rest ground. Half breakfast sausage, 1/4 jalapeño and cheese German, 1/4 regular German for the kids.
