Subject: Tire repair procedure, man sounds like most of you guys are lucky

SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
Post below fellas talk about just popping the beat off putting a new stem in and airing the tire back up. I guess I'm unlucky but that would never work here.. every time we try something like that two days a week or a month later the tire will be flat and it will be leaking at the bead we popped loose.. protocol here is that umless it's a dire emergency, anytime a beat is broken loose the tire is completely disassembled the bead surfaces are buffed and all corrosion removed and sealer sprayed on them. The whole the valve stem goes in is carefully cleaned buffed and resealed. If it's a tube type tire when the tubers remove the inside of the rim it's carefully inspected for rest and chips buffed and resealed in those areas and the repaired or replaced tube reinstalled. Anything less than that will usually result in a do-over.
