Subject: RE: Shimming double disc openers

Northern Ontario
I realize it's not the same machine and may not require the same measurements/specs but this is what we have/do. Got a
Sunflower box drill with double openers. The book says to spin one disc and the other disc should just get grabbed a bit
but it shouldn't be so tight to have full contact that a shim could be taken out and still have good "grabbing". It kinda finicky
and you get used to it/feel it after a while but we've never had issues doing it this way. I'm surprised there's no more
precise way of doing it lol.
