I have an 1999 MX240. Ran into this with a remote valve and ended up with one from salvage. The issue was the stepper motor that operates the valve. The dealer is correct that parts are NLA from CNH. Should be something used as the valves covered several models and are not position specific.
If you get a used valve assembly be sure to keep the old one for parts.
