| I’ll have to check my hydrometer. I do know when I started out I got frustrated with a thermometer pretty quick. My maple syrup hydrometer takes the guessing out. I have a second one in case I don’t believe the first one. Now I can pretty much tell when it starts to boil and lift out of the pan that I’m only minutes away from syrup. It kinda scares you the first time it does it. My kids favorite thing to do is crack an egg and throw it in the syrup as it’s cooking. The egg sucks up to syrup and tastes awesome. | |
