Wisconsin | You're not going to get ahead making minimum wage. Minimum wage jobs are a foot in the door, if you can't prove you're worth more than minimum wage then you will never get ahead.
Making a decent wage is a start to getting ahead, the rest is just as important. I'm not going to write a book on frugality, seems a little rich lecturing farmers about frugality. The most obvious money wasters are new cars, eating out, vacations, and the biggest housing you can afford. Sure, a young woman wants a nice reliable car, and a new car is a perfectly reasonable way to accomplish that, and a nice apartment in a safe area is perfectly reasonable, just be realistic that you're not going to get ahead doing those and working low wage jobs.
IMO, society is degrading in some ways, decades ago it was seen respectable to work and live in a working class neighborhood, now that's the hood. What changed? the morals of the people living in those areas. As the morals of the society degrade, it does get more expensive to do business with immoral people. | |
