| On our Lex I use a 7" camera setup from Kenny Larsen (Larsenlights.com). It's mounted on the auger tube on the same tab beside the auger light.
When folded it acts as a backup camera... IF I remember to actually look at it.
I mounted mine on the cab door hinge right at the A pillar near the headliner. It's out of the way when I get into and leave the cab. That way when I am looking towards the camera, I am already turned half of the way to the auger should I choose to look at the auger itself. The camera is on the left, therefore I feel it more natural to have the monitor mounted on the left.
We demoed a new combine with an OEM camera on the Right A pillar and it was IMO a really stupid place to mount a monitor for the auger. Looking to the right for something on the left of the machine is really counter intuitive. | |
