Subject: RE: Finally got a JD 750 drill

Callao, Missouri
Improvements we made on our 750 that I like:

Replaced old style closing wheel and arm with a notched wheel and arm that has the bearing in the arm. No more locked up wheels and notched wheel doesn’t bounce as much as the smooth wheel.

Narrow gauge wheels make the unit hit less debris= runs smoother. I would not put them on if you do a lot of conventional till.

Scale from scaletec was easy to put on.

About the everything else we’ve done is just rebuilding. A 750 drill can really start to seed parts after it gets worn out.

I’m not sure you need new flutes and cups, maybe just the little black seed tube holder? We break a few every year.
