sw corner ia. | I believe his motor would need new rods/pistons for cooling, maybe new head/injectors for more flow so this means an out of frame rebuild. air to air intercooler, maybe new radiator. trans might not be rated for the higher torque rating you will have at 500+ but this is not a road block that you can overcome.
all this costs money, yes.. when you are done you will have a mech. non emission truck that you can work on in your shop with no laptop time. any new (used, you already have one) truck will have plenty of expensive fixes ahead of it that you will have to do or you have nothing but a very expensive boat anchor.
your truck looks pretty good, if it gets you done I would spend it on a rebuild before dumping it.
