Subject: Deere rubber light bezels

I'm doing a little fixing-up on my much-loved 4630 and am trying to replace the lights with LEDs. Purchased new bezels as the originals are pretty much rotten. The bezels are really stiff and I don't think that soap is going to be enough of a help to slip things together. Tried that a little and quit. Does anyone have an idea how they might be softened up? Would heating them help? These are the old Hobbs lights with the turned-out lip on the housing. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks, Ed
