Subject: RE: Floor heat question

east central saskatchewan
We are right now in the first winter with in floor heat. The system has wall mounted thermostat and I have it set at 52 degree F. It has also an outside sensor and I never noticed an overshooting. The boiler temperature runs at 93 degrees. Recently during that very cold spell, the thermometer dropped as low as 42 Celsius on morning and I went into the shop to check and the room temperature was 48 F. quite surprised how well my plumber designed the whole system. I just leave the thermostat at 52 F and don`t even think about to fool around with it. Even after having the 26 ft roll up door open to move equipment in it recovers fast and to have a dry floor after the snow melts off is a nice benefit. The shop is 50 x 80 x 20 ft.
