Nw Iowa | Not to be high and mighty but rewetting grain is illegal. To me is a crazy law but it is. In the old days a lot of guys did it because of overdrying in drying bins and reserve programs where corn just got dryer and dryer. interesting things happen. I remember waiting in line and guy opened his gravity wagon and nothing came out. Added water takes awhile to get into kernel and corn acts like very wet corn. I always like looking at elevators and how they move grain etc and see spigots or hoses in strange places so know it is still being done but guessing they are wetting a small part of grain that is going into a much bigger grain stream. I guess what I am saying is that I would write this years experience up and try harder with next years crop. | |
