west central ohio | Wondering how much shackle space are we gaining in the country which hopefully helps give some leverage back to the farmer/rancher. Whether it's an expansion or new build how many head per day are we gaining. I have heard one in Idaho, Texas,Wisconsin, South Dakota, Missouri, and Aurora Illinois plant expanding from I believe 400 head to 1000 head per day. I'm not sure if any of the previous are true or not so just wondering from people that are locals or knowledge on this topic what expansion in beef slaughterhouses are happening today or in near future not talk but going to do it. So if you know would be nice to hear how many head per day, if colored or Holstein (probably not but a guy can dream), and if some niche or just taking regular just thought it would be interesting to know. | |
