More of a buffer for processing. Corn will never stop flowing out the bottom and will start filling up again during business hours.
Bunge Altona processes 2500T.day. On long weekends and other shipping delays such as weather they quite often come close to having to shut down. Had to shut down 3X since christmas because of train delays. Couldnt get meal out
