Ne Nebraska | can't speak for basketball but did soccer for daughters. Basically it was my wife's recreation. Its a lot of time commitment, and yes lots of weekends you can't do anything else and a lot of expense. Oldest daughter never even played intermural soccer when she got to college. Oh, and there's the politics. A large percentage of the teams are coached by a parent that their kid wouldn't be able to play if their Dad/Mom wasn't the coach. I guess what else would city people do. JMO.
My wife would give you a different answer.... | |
