Subject: Massey 8470 Air Supply Controls

Princeville, IL
I have a Massey Ferguson 8470 with air ride cab suspension and air ride front axle. The entire system has no air. With the large fuse in place you can hear the compressor running under the cab but no air seems to get generated (or it is leaking out as fast as it is coming in?). The air seat in the cab even will not work. When the tractor was being used last I sensed the air suspension was failing as the ride got really rough. I ended up pulling the fuse in an effort to save the compressor, hopefully it worked!

I have had the tractor shut off and filled the air tank using the valve behind the cab. I can air the system up and do not hear any leaks but over a day the system will leak off. It seems to be a supply issue for the entire tractor, not just an isolated cab suspension air issue, either caused by compressor failure or a large leak?? My questions are:
1: where is compressor/regulators/air tank located?
2: how to diagnose compressor failure easiest?
3: potential for a regulator/filter causing issues?
