| Never mind, was able to find it. Just some Sunday afternoon thinking, what’s the minimum sensors needed on the octopus harness to make the nav steer? Read an old post asking about using the Outback steering valve to steer using Trimble. It was stated it couldn’t because at that time the Outback was a bang-bang valve. What would stop a guy from using just a generic proportional spool valve tee’d into the steering lines? Put a potentiometer on the steering axle and some sort of manual override switch/sensor. Probably harder than that otherwise someone else would’ve tried by now I reckon, but was just curious if anyone else had tried it? |
