| FIL has an 8050 bought used with about 5,000 hours. Ok tractor but have had several issues. Had shop rebuild motor and two to three years later broke the crank.
Need to watch the pins the front tires/final drives pivot on. The keeper is a flat piece with two small bolts. First time, one of the pins fell out turning on the end and the front tire and planetary tried to fall off. Not much damage on that one. Second time front wheel incident was my fault, turning at the end and too close to a ditch and slid into it and broke the front housing that holds final drive. Worst thing was right by the highway so everyone could see. Took awhile to get parts but got back together. Last fall had tractor on grain cart and after helping friend brought it back home. Cleaning it up to put away and saw one of the pins halfway out. Just after a 30 minute road home. Lucky, pushed it back in and made a new flat piece holding the pins in. If you get it watch both upper and lower pins and keepers. We inspect now very often. Good luck. | |
