Put a bid like that on a pickup last fall. Three weeks before the close. Around 60% of market value.
Decided to let it go. Went for 100 over my bid.
Auction company called and the second bidder mysteriously couldn't get his financing. Sketchy, but we owned it. Haven't been disappointed. But online deals are very rare.
