They already have cultivators with shovels that move in and out as they travel down the rows. Built one 30 years ago from a Grant from Pioneer shown on PFI farm tour. But organic farmers did not want it. Flame weeders, hot water squirters with weed id software. Many more and it is already there. Want to try it?? Plus pioneer was working on perennial corn in the 1970's and I think they have a perennial bean. We have had Gps controlled auger wagons for combines for years.
