Subject: RE: 4020 gas

I have an expert mechanic friend that has done many and can do it without adding to frame and looks [almost] factory I will forward his name upon request. I do know a certain year combine will fit right in .Combine motors get less than 1/2 hours of a tractor.Normally a good combine motor will bring around $2500 plus and would guess labor at $2K min. Problem is you pretty much have to use them to come out.I just bought a real nice 4440 that had receipts for over $17K from JD and about 1/2 was labor at $135 an hour.I just bought a nice low houred original 4000 for resale that basically needed just paint and it was $11K.No matter how nice they are done they still wont bring what an original will.
