SE SD | With all these VT tools out there, which one doesn't leave a wavy ~ finish. I'm thinking Great Plains, Kuhn Krause, & Deere 2660VT probably do the best since they have down pressure across the entire width of the machine as well as down pressure on the finishing attachment? I currently have a Landoll with the fixed gang angle and love the chopping, mixing, and just the right amount of dirt movement, but I hate the finish. It's too uneven side to side and wavy out the back, especially the wings.
I'd like to be able to hit my cornstalks once in the fall & have a nice enough finish to be able to plant beans into a stale seedbed in the spring. If the Landoll had down pressure & a better finishing attachment it'd be dang near perfect. | |
