So, was one of them raised in China? I'm not sure there is a million volt line anywhere but China.

Our power supplier, Manitoba Hydro has run high voltage DC lines for quite some time now, since the early 1970's. While the first lines were technically not a million volts, they do run at a total potential difference of about 900,000 vdc. I think the second and third bi-pole lines run at about 1,000,000 vdc.
