My '64 4020 is power shift and the pto engages right away and comes to a stop fast.....so if it's a power shift I would check it out first. My '72 4020 pto is nice just slowly engage it and it's fine and stop is fine on it. But the earlier 4020 with the pto on the side are nice for running angers.
Better auger tractor...early 4020 or side console 4020?
