Subject: Broadcast Televison ending?

East central Iowa

I wonder with all the options such as Fire Stick, Apple TV, Google TV, TiVo devices and then HULU, Netflix, Sling, and others if broadcast TV will disappear like I suspect cable TV is going to.

Looking at the programs available during the week and seeing mostly reruns or things such as 48 hours where they take 48 hours to tell a 5 minute story or 2020 I strongly suspect most people are opting for something a little more entertaining.

Will local business continue to advertise on a medium that nobody sees?

Our local paper is mostly local stories the I don't care about or a push to spend more tax dollars for some project that would be more appropriate in a city 5 times bigger.

The classifieds are a remnant of the past with some local advertisers pretending that people need to know they're still in business.  With the Internet I can find  a local business that carries what I want or get a better deal online.  Same goes for finding a phone number of that same business, if they're smart and have an internet presence.
