Probably one of the 372 laws I break every day unknowingly.
I just hired a guy, he wanted salary so that's the way it is. I will probably be hauled off to jail soon since I just admitted it on the internet.

I swear, the bureaucracy only has power because we give it to them. No is an acceptable answer. Worry about the things that actually matter.



This reform related to exempt/non-exempt salary employees came about because almost every darn white-collar job was abusing salary positions to avoid paying overtime to low-level workers. It’s no surprise that enough people finally got tired of the situation, which has been ongoing for decades, and changes happened. Plenty of companies still get away with it because folks are afraid of reporting the fraud.
