John Deere iTC / 3000 / 6000 can all be configured to send NMEA gps to 3rd party applications. You will need to first use a John Deere screen (1800, 2600, 2630) to configure the NMEA. You will also need a power / serial cable for the receiver (available from ag express).

Ontrac2 can accept gps from 3rd party. It requires minimum 5hz; 38,400 baud, and GGA VTG strings.

Will iTC perform better or worse than a 1500 on waas?? That i do not know.

One thing I would caution usage of iTC and ontrac2 is tilt compensation. The name iTC refers to "internal tilt compensation". The ontrac2 has its own tilt sensors as well. You do not want both devices doing tilt compensation at same time. In the iTC there is an option to disable the tilt compensation. I would suggest turning it off in the iTC.
