Missouri

There's now a fairly good sized movement to replace the Denver stock show with the Cattlemen's Congress. Much of the movement is a result of the Democratic leadership in Denver and Colorado. From political leaders to exhibitors, it has way more steam behind it than I ever imagined. Oklahoma is estimating the show brought nearly 50 million dollars to their state. The "A show managed by cattlemen, for cattlemen" mantra seemed to ring true and 80% of exhibitors surveyed post show said they would exhibit cattle at a 2022 event if it was scheduled in January.

“The folks in Denver turned their back on the Ag industry."  .... "That put the stability of the U.S. beef industry in danger. So we started a new tradition here in Oklahoma City"

Oklahoma Governor
Kevin Stitt
