North shore of Lake Ontario
Had that scenario this past year. It was a year to year rental as the construction permits were slow in coming so we planted wheat then soys and then soys again. Developers did not want corn. Don’t know why as their dirt machinery would handle stalks just fine. Suspect it was the old chemical residue argument that came with corn planting. 2nd year beans with no fert did better than the previous year. Excavators are there now ripping it to pieces. So Sad.
