Cut a 6" square out of the side sometime and then peel it apart and count the layers.
I set my tubeline up to wrap more on the seams than on the side of a bale. Good quality plastic, bales the same size and machine pushing them tight together, and even 6 layers should take it thru one year. I'm usually in the 7 layer ball park and have no mold issues.
