SW OH | Last fall when it was time to let the bull out with the cows, he suddenly had a bad limp. He's 6 years old and about 2,300 pounds. I trimmed his back feet and in 2 weeks he was still limping so I bought a young replacement. New bull is about 1,200 pounds. I pulled the trailer up to the herd in the pasture and let the new bull out. It took 5 minutes, but when they met, it was game on. I watched them for half an hour. They pushed each other around and banged heads hard enough to make mine hurt. The old bull forgot all about his limp.
They are still together with the cows, but in the barn now. Every day I see them still pushing each other around. They look as if they are doing it playfully now though.
