Subject: RE: Professional bull riders needing hip replacement at an early age

I was a fullback at ndsu and ended up with 8 surgery’s before I was done. I’m now in my 40’s and I regret it to some degree. One knee and one shoulder are so bad that they’re ready for replacement. Doctors are trying to get me as long as I can with my original joints. Winning was fun but now I am paying for it. The house I lived in college had 4 players and our house totaled 17 surgeries by the time we were done. Nobody thinks about the health cost when in the moment. Heck I would drain my knee in the bathtub with a pin so the fluid would go down so I could practice the next day. Dumb stuff. Made me tough and stubborn and I feel like that has done a lot of good to this day. Never back down from hard work. I’m still trying to grow my small farm and my willingness to set goals and work hard for them comes from my parents and football.
